Join us on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 pm, for a senior recital performed by cellist Adam Pratt.
Pratt, a Texas native, has performed in venues throughout the country including Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida, Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri and Fort Worth’s Modern Art Museum. In July 2013, Pratt was the featured guest soloist for the commissioning of John Mackey’s (Redacted), premiered by the National Intercollegiate Band at the historic Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts. Adam served as the principal cellist of the Tarrant County College Chamber String Ensemble and the Wesleyan Wind Ensemble.
As a soloist, he has performed in the 2011 and 2013 Tarrant County College Honors Recital and was selected to perform in the 17th Annual Texas Wesleyan President’s Honors Recital in March 2013. Adam is the 2012 and 2013 recipient of the Irene Clark Scholarship, which recognizes outstanding achievement in music. In April 2013, he was awarded Texas Wesleyan University’s Instrumental Music Major of the Year. Adam is a senior at Texas Wesleyan working on attaining a Bachelor of Education in Music. He is in the cello studio of Dr. Hsinyi Wang.
