Practicum Hours
What are practicum hours?
The LPC and the LMFT programs at Texas Wesleyan require practicum hours, which are hands-on experience hours, to complete the programs. Our practicum hours allow for both on-campus and off-campus experience.
Where do I complete my hours?
On campus hours are completed at the Glick House, Texas Wesleyan’s community counseling center, and off-campus hours are tailored to your specialty, like, for example, in a hospital setting.
How many hours do I need?
When do I complete my practicum?
Are these the same hours as the 3,000 hours required by the state?
