Undergraduate Admissions FAQ

Undergraduate Admissions FAQ

I have forgotten my RamLink password, what do I do?
I am considering taking college courses while in high school (dual credit/dual enrollment). What courses do you recommend?
  • First, you should talk to your high school counselor to be sure any courses you take are appropriate for you and your current academic situation. Secondly, consider courses that will transfer easily to any college or university. For more information, please see Transfer Admissions.
Is the THEA required for admission?
  • No. Texas Wesleyan does not require the Texas Higher Education Assessment for general admissions; however, it is required for students who wish to enroll in the Wesleyan School of Education.
What must I do to maintain my scholarship award?
  • The first requirement is that you enroll full time. You must also maintain the minimum grade point for the scholarship you receive. Although not required, we also kindly ask you to participate in international events on campus, like the International Club and International Week.

How do I get a copy of my schedule?
  • You can print a copy of your schedule from RamLink.

How is the ACT or SAT considered for admissions?
  • Wesleyan will consider your Critical Reading and Math scores from an SAT test and/or your Composite score from an ACT. Wesleyan considers your highest scores from a single test date. We do not consider scores from various test dates. It’s very important that you submit all SAT/ACT scores to Wesleyan. We use your scores, in part, to consider scholarship eligibility.
Are Accuplacer scores considered for admission?
  • No, the Accuplacer exam is not used for admission purposes. However, Wesleyan does use the Accuplacer to assist advisors in placing students in the best and most appropriate courses. Once you have been accepted, you will be required to take the Accuplacer exams at Wesleyan unless you meet some exemptions. You may opt to take Accuplacer at any college/university that offers the test. Be sure, though, to keep your official score reports and forward them to Wesleyan.
Does Wesleyan accept AP/IB/Clep scores?
  • Yes. The scores are not considered for admissions, but they may allow you to receive academic credit once you begin at Wesleyan. Please submit official score reports from any of these programs directly to the Wesleyan Office of Admissions. For information on how scores transfer to college credits, please see the online catalog, page 37.
I am a home-schooled student. May I attend Wesleyan?
  • Of course. You will submit your home school transcript. You will not have a class ranking, so your admission will be based on your ACT/SAT score and your GPA (Grade Point Average).
