DENTON, TX: The 21st ranked Texas Wesleyan University women’s soccer team (5-1) suffered a 2-0 loss at Texas Woman’s University (2-2) on Friday. The loss stopped Texas Wesleyan’s winning streak at five games, one short of tying the school record.
In the 23rd minute, Kyli Morgan scored off a pass from Dani DeCoursin to give the Pioneers an early 1-0 advantage.
Although Texas Woman’s outshot Texas Wesleyan 19-6, the Lady Rams hit the post twice while goalkeeper Katy Houchin made eight saves to keep the team alive.
In the 89th minute, Texas Woman’s Amanda Allen appeared to be offside, but went in for a score to account for the 2-0 final.

The Lady Rams will return to action on Friday, when they travel to Chickasha, OK, to take on the University of Science & Arts (OK). That game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
