FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s Lateah Lucero has been named Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her performance during the week of September 28 – October 4.
Lucero, a junior forward from Pilot Point, TX, notched a goal in both of the Lady Rams' wins last week. She capped the scoring in a 3-0 victory at Bacone College (OK) and started a barrage in the fifth minute as TWU rolled to a 7-1 win at Texas College. The Lady Rams are atop the RRAC standings at 2-0 in conference play and 8-3 overall.
UT-Brownsville’s Jodie Hunter and Our Lady of the Lake University’s Kat Kirsch were named Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
