RAMS HOST 1st REBOUNDER'S CLUB MEETING
October 15, 2009

FORT WORTH, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University men's basketball team hosted the innagural meeting of The Rebounder’s Club Thursday night at Lou’s Pavilion on the historic campus.  The meeting was a roaring success shared by a host of former players, current and former Wesleyan staff members, Administrators, students  parents, and friends both old and new.

The Rebounder's Club meeting was the first public appearance of the 2009-2010 Texas Wesleyan Basketball team who got the opportunity to spend time with those in attendance.  "I am so pleased that so many came out to support our young men," commented head coach Terry Waldrop.  "We have a tremendous product here at Texas Wesleyan both in academics and in our basketball program.  The program is one that has survived the test of time and is flourishing.  I think the kindness, generosity and character of the room last night reflected all the best we have to offer here with our young men, our basketball program, and Texas Wesleyan University."

The evening started in grand fashion as former Texas Wesleyan University Basketball player and current BBQ Master Ray Green of nationally famed North Main BBQ ( www.northmainbbq.com) generously provided the meal which included his world championship winning ribs, brisket and sausage.  A great time was had by everyone in attendance.  "Myself, Coach Schingleton, the coaching staff, and all of our players very much appreciate the generosity and support of everyone that was there as well as our fans and supporters who could not attend.  For more information on the Rebounder’s Club and how to be a part of the program click here.

The Rams will open their season in Waxahachie, TX, on November 6, against nationally ranked Evangel University followed on November 7, against powerhouse rival LSU-Shreveport.  Both games begin at 6:00 p.m.  To get up to the minute inside information on  the Rams all year as they strive for a third straight Red River Athletic Conference Championship and another trip to Kansas City to play for another national championship, you can follow the Rams at www.twitter.com/terrywaldrop.
