SILOAM SPRINGS, AR:  The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (12-14, 6-4 RRAC) split a day-night doubleheader on Saturday.  The Rams took a 3-2 conference win over Bacone College (4-17, 2-8) in Muskogee, OK, before traveling to Siloam Springs, AR, where they fell 3-0 to John Brown University (20-8).

Against Bacone, the Lady Rams took game one 25-11 before dropping games two and three (25-22 and 25-21.  Texas Wesleyan regrouped and finished the match with a 25-13 win in game four and a 15-11 win in game five.

Destiny Clemons led the Rams with 12 kills to go with three aces and two blocks.  Brittney Person posted 11 kills, while Kaitlyn Lowes added nine kills and eight digs.  Evoni Darling had a double-double with 43 assists and 16 digs.  Chelsy Covington posted 28 digs.

Against John Brown, the Golden Eagles won with scores of 25-16¸ 25-16, and ­25-21.  Clemons and Person again led the way with nine kills and eight kills respectively.  Darling finished with 27 assists and eight digs.  Covington posted 10 digs.

The Lady Rams will complete a five-game road swing next weekend with three Red River Athletic Conferences.  On Friday, they will play Texas College in Tyler, TX, at 4:00 p.m. and Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX, at 7:00 p.m.  On Saturday, they will travel to Marshall, TX, to play Wiley College at 11:00 a.m.
