MARSHALL, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University volleyball team (14-15, 8-5 RRAC) dropped a 3-1 decision at Wiley College (19-4, 13-2) on Saturday.
The Wildcats took game one 25-15, before the Rams leveled the match with a 25-19 win in game two. Wiley then took a narrow 25-23 win in game three and closed out the match with a 25-17 win in game four.
Three Lady Rams reached double figures in kills. Kaitlyn Lowes led the way with 11 kills. Bittney Person and Devin Warren each finished with 10. Angelica Arroyo notched 22 assists while Evoni Darling finished with 18. Kristina Harris and Chelsy Covington led the defense with 16 and 14 digs respectively. Kristen Venhuizen also turned in a nice all around game with seven kills, nine digs, and three aces.
The Lady Rams will return to the court next Wednesday, when they host Huston-Tillotson University in RRAC action. That match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start in the Sid Richardson Center. |
