FORT WORTH, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s basketball team (0-2) suffered an 88-65 to LSU-Shreveport (2-0) at SAGU’s Full Life Center on Saturday.
Texas Wesleyan shot just 39% from the field in the game while allowing the Pilots to hit at a 50% clip including a red-hot 52% (13-for-25) from long range. Both teams pulled down an even 33 rebounds.
Five Pilots reached double-figures in scoring, led by Ernie Pickens’ game-high 27 points. Brian Wanamaker continued to pace the Rams, scoring 17 points. Hector Mukweyi added 12 points and seven boards.
The Rams schedule gets even tougher as they travel to Edmond, OK, to take on perennial NAIA powerhouse Oklahoma Christian University on Tuesday. That game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start. |
