Career Services

Exploring possible occupations, determining a future career, and garnering effective job search skills are an integral part of a student's college experience.  Students should begin the process of researching possible majors and careers as soon as possible to allow themselves more flexibility in adjusting their degree plans.  We are happy to assist any students undecided in their majors, and can utilize interest, personality, ability assessment testing.

Texas Wesleyan's Career Services center is available for individual advising on a walk-in or appointment basis. We are pleased to offer services to students and alumni to help them acquire occupations with higher earning power, security, prestige and job satisfaction.

Mission

Our mission is to endow our students with the skills necessary to make informed career decisions, to enable them to successfully manage career transitions, and to be committed to education, training and life-long person development and a high level of satisfaction. Our anticipated outcome is a system that networks students, faculty, employers, and alumni to allow for mentoring experiential learning and career opportunities.

Philosophy

Career advising exists to help students with personal growth and development . We want to ensure that all students become self-aware, have access to current, accurate information about careers, have awareness of opportunities within our community, and are prepared for the journey for life-long careers and career transitions.
