TEXAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE RELOCATES TO ROSEDALE; RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY AT NOON SEPT. 8

East Fort Worth and Texas Wesleyan University will be celebrating the beginning of a new development with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon Tuesday, Sept. 8. The University Bookstore, which will serve an anchor for the development on Rosedale, is hosting the event to mark their new location at 3008 E; Rosedale St. They were previously located on the historic campus.

The stretch of Rosedale that was once home to the original Mama’s Pizza and Ashburn’s Ice Cream will now make way for new businesses. The TownSite Company has plans for two restaurants as well as office space for local business professionals and entrepreneurial businesses. Subway will be the first restaurant and it will be located adjacent to the bookstore. The other will be in the 3100 block, east of Burge’s Hardware (which has been in business since 1913).

Part of the redevelopment of these two blocks was made possible by Housing and Urban Development funding through the City of Fort Worth.
