Groundbreaking for the

Claudia Stepp Scene Shop

Texas Wesleyan broke ground on March 23 for the new Claudia Stepp Scene Shop, which will include classroom areas for carpentry, metal fabrication, and lighting. The new scene shop is named for alumna and Board of Trustees member Claudia Stepp, BS ’72.

Thelma Cole Gill, BS ’52, and Joe Brown, professor of theatre and speech. Cole Gill’s late husband, Cecil Cole, BA ’59, MEd ’60, started up the first scene shop as a theatre professor at Texas Wesleyan.
