FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WESLEYAN SINGERS PERFORMANCE TO INCLUDE GUEST CHOIR AND TWO DOUBLE CHOIR PIECES

The Wesleyan Singers and the Wesleyan Chamber Singers will present a choral performance at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, in Martin Hall. The Wesleyan Singers will present a performance of Mozart's Te Deum, and the Chamber Singers will present music from a variety of composers. Both groups are also pleased and excited to welcome a special guest choir from the University of North Texas. The Canticum Novum, under the direction of associate professor of choral music Henry Gibbons, will present choral selections on this concert as well. The performance will end with two double choir pieces in which all choirs will combine for an exciting conclusion to the evening.

Texas Wesleyan's Director of Choral Activities, Jerome Bierschenk, studied conducting under Professor Gibbons while doing graduate studies at UNT. Please join the music department in welcoming our guests to campus for this event. A reception will follow after the performance, which is free and open to the public.

The performance is free and open to the public; a reception will follow. For more information, call 817-531-4992 or visit Texas Wesleyan Music.
