Retirement Plans

Eligibility Employee's Contributions University's Contributions
403(b) First day of employment. Each calendar year employees can defer up to $16,500. Individuals who are over 50 can contribute an additional $5,500. N/A
401(a) First day of the month on or after completion of one year of service. N/A All eligible employees receive a 2 percent Universal contribution. The University may also match up to an additional 6 percent to the 401(a) plan based on an employee's contribution to the 403(b) plan. The University's match is optional and/or may be in any increment up to 6 percent. For calendar year 2011, the University will match 100% of an employee's 403(b) contribution up to 6%.
