Assist undergraduate students with math assignments, including, but not limited to: beginning and intermediate algebra, college algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus. Tutoring sessions are intended to be instructional, to assist students in becoming proficient in mathematics. Tutors are to engage students in conversations that help draw and express ideas.
Qualifications (required skills and abilities):
Knowledgeable and skilled in mathematics. Grades of A or B in math courses taken. Skilled in instructing others. Courteous, friendly, patient, sensitive, and dependable. Minimum completion of MAT 1302, preferably completed MAT 1324.
M-F: 8 a.m - 12 p.m.
Maximum 15 hours per week in Fall/Spring.
