Welcome to Texas Wesleyan
Texas Wesleyan University has a rich tradition of academic excellence that dates back to 1890. Our history is something we can look back at with pride, but we’re even more proud of the direction Wesleyan is headed.
We are constantly strengthening our academics, energizing our student life, and focusing on our vision to prepare motivated students for graduate school and leadership in professional careers. For 2014, U.S. News & World Report ranked Texas Wesleyan in the No. 1 tier of regional universities in the West.
We believe this is attributed to a multitude of reasons, including:
- We are personally invested in our students’ success. Our professors go the extra mile — in class and after class — to ensure that students understand their coursework. Class sizes are intentionally small to allow learning on a first-name basis.
- We work hard to provide a friendly, caring college experience. With faculty and staff alike, students can depend on getting individualized attention. We not only welcome face-to-face conversation, we prefer it.
- We extend learning well beyond the classroom. In addition to leadership and networking opportunities in the many organizations and clubs on campus, we can help build a stronger resume through service to the community.
Wesleyan is the ideal environment to develop proficiency in critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and creative problem solving. This is important because professional employers seek individuals with these essential skills. These skills are also required for admission to graduate professional programs.
Whether they go on to pursue a career or a graduate degree — or both — your student will be prepared. Because a Wesleyan education helps them face life with a new degree of confidence.
