This program is designed to provide graduate counseling students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a multicultural setting. Students will participate in the World International Therapy Association Congress and attend a 4-day seminar with the influential and popular therapist Dr. Marty Klein.

| Course Descriptions |
COU 6399-70 is a sexuality related course. Dr. Klein is a certified sex therapist. Students will participate in his seminar “Diagnosis & treatment of sexual issues: systemic, psycho-social, & counter-intuitive approaches”. This seminar will address both sexual issues as well as family therapy approach to treat them.
COU 6399-71 Students will meet the requirements for this class by listening to world known family therapists and researchers from all over the world. They will also interact each day with students and professionals from across South America and Europe, discussing family therapy issues from various cultural perspectives. During this trip students will also have number of cultural excursions which will help them increase their cultural awareness.

| About the Instructor |
Dr. Ruzgyte received her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Woman’s University. She grew up in Lithuania and came to the United States 10 years ago. Her professional interests include teaching, research, and the private practice of psychotherapy and couples counseling. Her current, ongoing research project is “Sexuality in Post-Soviet Countries”. She has been traveling to the former Soviet republics, collecting data and investigating how social change affects individual sexuality.

| About the Featured Lecturer |
Dr. Klein has written five books and over 100 articles on sexuality and other clinical family therapy issues. He is frequently quoted by television and the popular press, such as The New York Times and Newsweek. He has been qualified as an expert witness in both state and federal courts in sexuality, sex therapy, sexual behavior. Each year he trains psychologists, physicians, teachers, and other professionals in a wide range of settings, from religious groups to universities, state psychological associations, and bio-medical research. |

During the program, students will be attending the World International Family Therapy Association Congress, being held at the same hotel as the program accommodation.

| Students will stay in the "El Cento" section of Buenos Aires, at the Panamericano Buenos Aires Hotel & Resort. Students will share a double room at the hotel. |

| Breakfast will be provided by the hotel. No other meals are included. The hotel is located within walking distance of many restaurants. |
