What is the Program Mission?

Leaders teaching participants to lead from the inside out, to recognize leadership opportunities are everywhere, and to equip them with the tools necessary to make an impact on the world around them.

What is the purpose of this program?

The L.E.A.D. Program is designed to help you become a better Person, and Leader through participation in Conferences, Café Discussions, community service, and a two page papers or Exit Interview. The message in this program is that leaders are found everywhere, every day, in all kinds of situations. Therefore, the aim is not to wow you with grandiose theoretical arguments and ideas, but to offer you a living, breathing model of leadership. We will share real life examples of our journey in leadership and the simple, yet powerful principles we apply day in and day out to lead effectively.

Who is the program open to?

The program is open to all Texas Wesleyan University students, staff, and faculty.

What are the basic requirements of the program?
* You must attend Spring LEADership Summit or Fall LEAD Institute.
* You must complete 10 hours of community service.
* You must attend 5 World Café Discussions.
* You must submit a 2 page or longer reflection paper.
How long does the program last?

The program has no time limit, but a certificate may be earned in one semester. If you liked it sign up for round two, and expand your leadership skills, you can earn the Wesleyan Leaders Flame.

What are the World Café Discussions?

Interactive dialogs where you learn how you expand your leadership abilities and skills, by sharing thoughts and experiences with others.

What do you get for completing requirements?

You receive experiences, and memories that will last a life time, plus a certificate in leadership and valuable insight coupled with practical wisdom on how to be a great and effective leader.
