Living, Learning, Leading! That is our vision. We are a student oriented organization comprised of motivated staff who work together to create communities that assist residents in achieving academic success. We have three complexes that house approximately 530 students.

West Village

West Village

Built in 2005, this apartment-style residence hall, named for Eunice and James L. West, houses approximately 260 students. Students have the choice of living in a four-bedroom, or a two-bed efficiency.

2012-2013
All Undergraduate students who live on-campus are required to have a meal plan. All rental rates include water, gas, electricity, trash, cable and high speed internet. Prices are subject to change.

Amenities

The four bedroom unit includes a kitchenette offers a full-size refridgerator, microwave and sink. Each student has their own bedroom with a bed, desk and dresser. There are two bathrooms, both with a tub and shower. A common living room, shared by the four residents, comes with a love seat, chair, coffee table and end table.

The efficiency has a kitchenette and all-purpose room. The kitchenette offers a full-size refridgerator, microwave and sink. The all-purpose room comes with two beds, two desks, two chairs, and two dressers. A bathroom with a shower and tub are included in the unit.

The Club house is the site of the laundry and activity space as well as a kitchen. Cooking facilities are included in the kitchen, and there is also vending, a television area, a group study room and a computer room.

Elizabeth Means Armstrong Hall

Built in 1957, this two story co-ed residence hall is named for Elizabeth Means Armstrong, a 1920 graduate of Texas Women's College (now Texas Wesleyan University) Elizabeth houses 75 for upper class and graduate students.

Amenities

Each student has a single room which shares a bathroom with the adjoining room. Floors are co-ed. The hall has a large living room or activity room with a kitchen. Laundry facilities are located on each floor.

Stella Russell Hall

A three story co-ed residence hall, built in 1967, houses 150 students. It was named for Stella Russell, of Houston, who was a former student and benefactor of the University. Stella houses two students per room with a common bathroom on each floor and wing.

**Stella will close for the summer session. Students who live in Stella will move to a 4- Bedroom Unit in West Village Apartments for the discounted rate. Stella Russell Hall will not assign Single Rooms until Room Change week. Room Change week will not start until two weeks after the first day of each semester.

Amenities

A large living room with table tennis and pool table is located on the first floor. In addition, it has a kitchen, study/computer room, gaming room, television area, weight room and laundry room.

How to Apply

If you do not wish to live on campus or feel you do not need a meal plan, please send in the Housing/Meal Plan Waiver in conjunction with your application.
