Andrews To Be Honored at the 42nd Annual Business Hall of Fame
Texas Wesleyan University, along with Fort Worth Business Press and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, will present the 42nd annual Fort Worth Business Hall of Fame Thursday, Nov. 3.
This year’s event will honor Paul Andrews, Jr., CEO and founder of TTI, Inc. as Fort Worth’s 2011 Business Executive of the Year. TTI, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is celebrating its 40th year as the world’s leading authorized distributor specializing in passive, connector, electromechanical and discrete components.
In addition to his business pursuits, Andrews is also a community leader, having served on the board of trustees at Trinity Valley School and the advisory committee for the School of Industrial Distribution/Engineering at Texas A&M University. He and his wife have been recognized for their vigorous efforts on behalf of education and for establishing the Paul and Judy Andrews Industrial Distribution Conference Center at Texas A&M in 1996.
The keynote speaker at the event will be Dr. Gary Krahn, head of school at Trinity Valley School, and Gene Gray, executive vice president and senior risk manager for North Texas at Frost Bank, will deliver the remarks of a friend.
The ceremony will be held at the Fort Worth Club, located at 306 W. Seventh St., 12th floor. The reception will be at 6 p.m. in the Trinity Room, sponsored by Southwest Bank. Dinner, along with the awards program, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Horizon room.
If you are unable to attend, consider a tax-deductible donation to Texas Wesleyan University’s Thomas H. Law scholarship program, which supports business students.
Andrews will speak at Martin Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3. All students, faculty and staff are invited to this event.
The Fort Worth Business Hall of Fame exemplifies the vital partnership between private enterprise and higher education. Texas Wesleyan University, the Fort Worth Business Press and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce join hands in honoring a successful business executive for outstanding achievements and service.
The purpose of the Business Hall of Fame is to promote business as a challenging profession; to inform young people about the American system of free enterprise and how it functions; to focus community-wide interest on the business profession as the vibrant lifeblood of our dynamic and expanding area; and to provide scholarships that will enable a greater number of worthy college students to prepare for business careers.
