Nearly 400 students and parents showed up for the first-ever “Midnight Madness” event at Texas Wesleyan, Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Sid W. Richardson Center.

Music, a slam dunk contest, performances by the Texas Wesleyan cheerleaders and a scrimmage by both the men’s and women’s basketball team rounded out the night, which event planner Trent Sandles, junior business major, hopes will be the first of many to come.

“This year was great – we gave away more than Texas Wesleyan 150 t-shirts and 100 spirit towels,” Sandles said. “We can’t wait to bring even more people out next year.”
