Throwback Thursday Presents: Ann Waggoner Hall circa 1950

Check out this shot of Ann Waggoner Hall taken from the 1950s.

The auditorium wing of the Ann Waggoner building was constructed in 1909 for Polytechnic United Methodist Church. Ownership of the building was transferred in 1923 to Texas Women’s College. After a $35,000 gift by Ann Waggoner financed the construction of the north wing, the building was named after her. The fine arts auditorium inside the building, Nicholas Martin Hall, is known as one of the finest musical venues in Fort Worth.
