“I believe living on campus is important. It’s a great opportunity to meet people and to learn about yourself and others. Living here allows you to really feel like you’re a part of the university.”

At Texas Wesleyan since May 2010, Ms. Manson has been working in student housing for more than 20 years. She grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, and really enjoys Ft. Worth. “Where Texas Wesleyan is located, it can’t be beat. There are so many things to do here.” She especially enjoys the movie theatres, arts festivals, and musicals.

She feels the student leaders, the Resident Assistants and other staff, she works with have a good plan for crafting a fun campus and to make living on campus “a home away from home.” “There is a reason to stay on campus. We have all kinds of programs and activities planned,” like outdoor movies, comedy night, study breaks, late night breakfasts, and parties.

Favorite saying:
“Keep calm and carry on.”

Ms. Manson lives on campus with two former therapy dogs. She enjoys antiquing, going to auctions and art festivals, and participates in an annual pre-Mardi Gras dog parade in New Orleans.
