Lisa Puente is a junior English major from Fort Worth. She describes reading, writing and editing as her passion, and she lists Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein as one of her favorite books because of its themes of acceptance and understanding. After graduating from Texas Wesleyan, Puente plans to pursue a master’s degree. She wants to pursue a career in teaching or editing. Puente credits Linda Carroll, associate professor of English, and Jeffrey DeLotto, professor of English, as strong influences in her education.
