Brandy Hendon is a senior political science major from Mansfield. She transferred from Tarrant County College, and plans to teach high school government when she graduates from Texas Wesleyan. The Hendon household – Brandy and her husband Tim, as well as Aaron, 14, and Trinity, 9 – is a forum for politics and discussion of ideas. At Texas Wesleyan, the small class size means that there is plenty of space for students and professors – like professors Salih and Payne – to discuss concepts, ideas and current events. Hendon feels that political awareness is a great responsibility for all citizens. “I want to teach the leaders of tomorrow,” she said.
