Jacob Rivera-Sanchez graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in May 2015 with his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Theatre, receiving multiple honors including Magna Cum Laude and Mr. Texas Wesleyan. As an undergraduate student, he was a work study assistant to the theatre business manager from 2011 to 2015. He was the recipient of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, receiving a full-ride to Wesleyan.
He was involved both onstage and backstage for more than 15 Theatre Wesleyan productions. He appeared onstage in Wesleyan productions of Cabaret, A Man For All Seasons, Certificate of Death, Into The Woods, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Survivor and Rent, and additionally the Playmarket readings of Positive and Graham's Grail in New York City. He directed two productions as a student: How Many To Tango? and the mainstage production of Fuddy Meers.
Jacob is currently an Equity Membership Candidate through Actors' Equity Association. He has appeared onstage in several regional productions including Casa Mañana's productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story, and Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat.
