Wesleyan Chorale spring rehearsals to begin Jan. 26

01.09.2015 | By: Texas Wesleyan University

The Wesleyan Chorale, under the direction of Department Chair, Dr. Jerome Bierschenk, will resume rehearsals for the Spring semester beginning Jan. 26. Rehearsals for the ensemble are held every Monday from 5:45-7 p.m. in Martin Hall.

The Chorale is a large ensemble which consists not only of Wesleyan choral students, but community members from the Greater Fort Worth area as well. Traditionally, the choir has a membership of between 65-75 singers, and sings one concert per semester.

This semester, the choir will be performing two major works, Johann Adolf Hasse, Messe in D and WA Mozart, Missa Brevis in F. The choir will be accompanied by orchestra for this performance.

Membership in the Wesleyan Chorale is open to any interested singer. Faculty, staff and non-music major students are welcome and encouraged to participate. Members must purchase their own music scores, and non-student members pay a $25 membership fee.

For further questions, please call the music office at 817-531-4992.
