The Texas Wesleyan Music Department is ready to take you on an Opera Workshop journey when it presents Bon Voyage: An Evening of Scenes. The program will include scenes about travel and leave-taking from La Bohème, The Marriage of Figaro, Oliver! and more.

The cast of Bon Voyage is comprised of twelve Wesleyan music students, ranging from freshmen to seniors. Guest artists include Wesleyan alumni Ryan Amador Keating and Bree Cockerell, and Fort Worth Opera Studio young artist Ian McEuen.

A special feature this year will be three scenes featuring children. The young group is comprised of children of Wesleyan students, alumni and administrators, including Roscoe, the son of Associate Provost Helena Bussell. The children will be featured as the Von Trapps in "So Long, Farewell" from The Sound of Music and in "The Children’s Prayer" from Hansel and Gretel.

Julie McCoy directs the production, assisted by Jennifer Carr, Julia Oh and student director Emily Davis.

The Department of Music students and faculty invite you to experience an evening of music and adventure. Please join us at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in Martin Hall, Ann Waggoner Annex (Fine Arts Building). Admission is free.
