Texas Wesleyan University and Tarrant County College South would like to invite you and your MS, 4A, 5A or 6A band to help us celebrate our Annual Wesleyan & TCC Jazz Festival! This fun and educational event is on Texas Wesleyan's campus or on Tarrant County College South Campus, depending on the year. If the year is odd, it is at Texas Wesleyan, and if even, at TCC.

The music requirements for each band will be three selections: a straight jazz selection, a ballad and a piece in the style of your choosing. Each group will have a maximum time limit of thirty minutes. This includes set-up and tear-down time. Each group will receive both written and taped comments from the judges. Middle school and junior high band directors will compete in their own category.

Trophies are given to the top groups in each classification. Outstanding jazz musicians from each ensemble will receive a certificate, and two overall outstanding musicians from the two competition rooms are chosen to receive a plaque.

How to enter

Groups wishing to participate in the Wesleyan & TCC Jazz Festival should complete the application and return it with the entry fee of $250.00. Directors are notified after the application and entry fees are received.
