Dion Gabaldon, DHA, CRNA, has been named the new program director of Texas Wesleyan University’s Graduate Programs in Nurse Anesthesia.
Dr. Gabaldon joined Texas Wesleyan in 2012 as an assistant professor. Prior to that, he founded and served as chief executive of Big Bear Lake Urgent Care, as will as chief executive of Gabaldon Anesthesia Services.
“Dr. Gabaldon has an enthusiastic commitment to continuing the long-running success of the Texas Wesleyan Nurse Anesthesia programs and a clear vision for ensuring the highest quality education for nurse anesthetists,” said Heidi Taylor, dean of the School of Health Professions. “Dr. Gabaldon draws from a rich background as a CRNA, owner of an anesthesia group and health care practice and faculty member. With the support of our exceptional faculty and staff, Dr. Gabaldon will continue to advance the stellar reputation the nurse anesthesia programs at TXWES have enjoyed for many years. I’m honored to work with him.”
Dr. Gabaldon earned a bachelor’s in nursing from Westminster College in Utah, a master’s in nursing from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota, and a doctorate in health administration from University of Phoenix.
