History, political science and paralegal students and faculty are currently traveling to Spain, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium as part of a supplement to several Spring 2017 social science courses. The group, composed of 25 students and 5 faculty members, is taking a first-hand look at history and law during different periods in European history. The trip is gives students the opportunity to take a short-term study experience in three disciplines.

The trip began in Granada, Spain, visiting the Alhambra before moving on to Warsaw, Poland, where the group toured Oskar Schindler's factory and the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. The group then traveled via train to Nuremberg, Germany, visiting sites associated with the Nuremberg Trials and World War II. The trip concludes with a visit to The Hague, site of the World Court, and Brussels, location of the European Parliament.
