John T. White Elementary is located at 7300 John T. White Road. We have been servicing our community since August, 2011. Our motto is to educate our future leaders with dignity, pride, and excellence. We want every student to be provided with the optimal educational opportunities and an enriched academic environment. Our staff is committed to making excellence of our school a necessity. We are here to serve students and their families in any way possible to help student success be optimal.

In the 2017-18 school year, John T. White was reconstituted as a “leadership academy.” The plan was unveiled by Superintendent Kent P. Scribner and supported by a $1-million-dollar gift from the Richard Rainwater Charitable Foundation, a longtime champion of public education.

“We have for the past year reallocated personnel and resources to the Fort Worth ISD campuses that need them most, and this is the next step in changing both the culture and the destiny of our most challenging campuses,” said Dr. Scribner. “This is a first step in putting the district’s new board-approved equity policy into action.”

John T. White Elementary School hired new teachers and administrators from a pool of educators who had been identified as the most highly-qualified in the district.

John T. White is now known by a new name; Leadership Academy at John T. White. The school operates on an extended-day schedule, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., serving breakfast and lunch. Additional donations pay for student uniforms.
