Texas Wesleyan welcomes Chadd Bridwell as new Assistant V.P. for Enrollment

Texas Wesleyan welcomes a seasoned admissions expert to its enrollment team in Chadd Bridwell, the University's new associate vice president of enrollment.

Bridwell, who boasts 22 years of higher education experience and is known for his expertise in undergraduate admissions, recruitment and staff development, will lead the university’s strategic recruiting initiatives.

“We are delighted to welcome Chadd to Texas Wesleyan,” Pati Alexander, vice president for enrollment, said. “His experience in higher education, knowledge of recruitment tactics and strategies and understanding of the ever-changing higher education landscape makes him an instrumental addition to our admissions team.”

Bridwell will build upon Texas Wesleyan’s forward movement in admissions and awareness goals, which have seen great strides since the launch of their Smaller. Smarter. branding campaign. Under the visionary leadership of President Frederick G. Slabach, Texas Wesleyan is positioned for growth and continues to build upon its strong foundation for excellence.

“Texas Wesleyan University is strongly invested in student achievement and the Dallas-Fort Worth community,” Bridwell said. “I’m excited about the transformation underway at this university and am proud to have the opportunity to contribute to the school’s success.”

Bridwell comes to Texas Wesleyan from Centenary College in Louisiana where he led a team of 18 in various offices including admission, career services, retention and registrar and financial aid.

Prior to Centenary, Bridwell was the senior educational manager for The College Board in Austin, where he was accountable for providing consultative services for colleges and universities in Texas and Oklahoma. He reviewed recruitment, admission, retention and financial aid practices to assist in meeting enrollment goals.

Bridwell’s experience also includes work at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Southern Methodist University and Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.
