When are classes?

Superintendent classes meet once a week evening during fall and spring semesters.  Meeting days are most often Monday evenings with occasional Tuesday or Thursday offerings.

For summer semesters, classes are held Saturday morning during the fall and spring and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings in the summer.

Superintendent candidates are admitted to begin classes each spring and summer semester.

What are the admission requirements?
  • Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • GPA of 3.2 or greater on a 4.0 for your master's work.
  • Minimum GRE of 150 on verbal reasoning and 141 on quantitative reasoning within the last five years. (Or equivalent on the old scoring scale)
  • Minimum GRE score of 4 on analytical writing exam within the last five years
  • Two years of experience as a teacher or administrator (with teaching experience) in a public, private or higher education setting
  • Interview session with program faculty

Admission Deadline:

  • Summer semester: May 1
  • Fall semester: July 15
  • Spring semester: Nov. 1
