What's the difference between DNAP and DNP?

The DNAP and the DNP are both practice doctorate degrees for advanced practice nurses, but the DNAP specializes solely in anesthesia. DNP degrees can be earned by any APRN, including nurse anesthetists, and DNP curriculum can focus on nurse anesthesia or other nursing specialties.

DNAP degree programs are often, but not always, housed in programs outside of schools or colleges of nursing.
