Alumna Sandra Garcia fights for education equality
Through her own experiences, Garcia learned the value that education has on people's lives. Now, she's sharing that impact with her community to help young students get a college education.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated throughout the country from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. As a Hispanic-Serving Institution, Texas Wesleyan is proud to honor the contributions and cultures of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Students, faculty and staff are all encouraged to take advantage of the learning opportunities available throughout the month.

On Sept. 14, the Andrews Ballrooms in Martin Center came to life as TXWES students, faculty, alumni, administrators and staff inaugurated Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month with dance, food, music, laughter and fellowship.
