Jennifer West has worked in education since 2014, teaching and writing curricula for science courses. She is most passionate about hands-on instruction and student-centered learning models and is excited to help Texas Wesleyan faculty implement these in their classrooms. While most of her experience is in the K-12 setting, she is excited to apply the skills she learned to help others. Jennifer received her B.S. in Biology and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington.
In addition to hands-on learning, Jennifer is also proficient with learning management systems, new ways to present information and data-driven instruction. She has utilized and taught others about the principles of backward planning and has studied several different grading philosophies.
Jennifer spends her weekends with her family, enjoys crocheting and is an avid Premier League soccer fan.
