Creative Commons is a non-profit organization that created a set of alternative copyright licenses for content creators. Members of the public can use any work with a Creative Commons license without asking for permission – as long as they attribute the work to the original author and adhere to the stipulations attached to the license related to making modifications, sharing works with others, and selling works for a profit.

Knowing about Creative Commons licensing will allow you to use works (images, videos, music, and more) legally and responsibly when you create flyers, training documents and videos, web content, and course content.

In this short workshop, you will:

• Review the types of Creative Commons’ licenses
• Interpret the licenses
• Cite a Creative-Commons’ licensed-work
• Locate resources to help you use these works in the future
