Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

Natalie Parker joined the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) as an instructional designer in 2016 and is now the department's director.

Natalie has worked in the field of curriculum and instructor development her entire career, which spans teaching seventh through twelfth grades, developing both synchronous and asynchronous online courses for a global management consulting firm, and collaborating with faculty at Texas Wesleyan University.

Natalie is passionate about integrating evidence-based practices into classrooms, whether virtual or face-to-face. She looks forward to helping the University roll out new online courses and programs, and to supporting faculty in achieving the 2020 vision to make 85 percent of courses web-assisted.

Natalie received a B.A. in English from Lake Forest College and an M.A. in education from Brooklyn College. She completed a graduate certificate in instructional design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2013.
