As part of the university's Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, on March 1, from 12:15-1:30 p.m. we'll be celebrating intellectual disability awareness with an informational art gallery event at the Bernice Coulter Templeton Art Studio & Gallery to introduce the Texas Wesleyan family to Evergreen Life Services.

Evergreen Life Services is located at 3425 E. Vickery about a mile down from our University! The mission of Evergreen is to “serve, provide for, and champion individuals with disabilities and advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities” by providing help and support to make the dreams of individuals with disabilities become a reality.

Providing clients with an opportunity to create paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculptures and different pieces of art is one component of the program at Evergreen Life Services. The artwork is available on the website to purchase and the proceeds are split between the artist who created the piece and Evergreen’s social enterprise programs.

For questions about this event, please contact Christi Tallent 817-531-7504 or Kit Hall 817-531-4984.
