Important 2014 health insurance deductible information

12.19.2013 | By: Texas Wesleyan University

The calendar year medical deductible is $2,000 per person or $4,000 for a family. Effective Jan. 1, 2014, all covered individuals will be required to meet the applicable deductible.

If the University renews with BCBS of Texas, the first quarter (January – March 2014) out-of-pocket deductible will be applied to the new plan for April 1, 2014.

Keep in mind, for those who may be seeking coverage through The Marketplace - also known as the “Exchange” - or have a qualifying event, you must notify Human Resources within 31 days to make any changes to elected medical/dental benefits through the University.
