March 16, 2020: Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled and has not been rescheduled at this time.
As part of the university's Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, on March 19, from 12:15-1:30 p.m. we'll be celebrating intellectual ability awareness with the annual informational art gallery event at the Bernice Coulter Templeton Art Studio & Gallery to introduce the Texas Wesleyan family to Evergreen Life Services.
Evergreen Life Services is located at 3425 E. Vickery about a mile down from our University. The mission of Evergreen is to “serve, provide for, and champion individuals with disabilities and advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities” by providing help and support to make the dreams of individuals with different abilities become a reality.
Providing clients with an opportunity to create paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculptures and different pieces of art is one component of the program at Evergreen Life Services. The artwork is available on the website to purchase and the proceeds are split between the artist who created the piece and Evergreen’s social enterprise programs.
Make plans to join us as we celebrate the beautiful artwork and meet some of the Evergreen artists. Refreshments will be served!
