Please join Human Resources at the 2014 Health Fair on Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Baker Building for an exceptional opportunity to get a free, quick and confidential health checkup right here on campus.

Free BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) Biometric Screening*
(BCBS insurance card and fasting are required)
Employees who are BCBS participants through Wesleyan may register for a free health screenings to increase their health awareness through “Catapult Health” – a 20-minute bio-metric health screening, which evaluates: blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index (BMI), body fat percentages and glucose. You must register online for the BlueCross BlueShield biometric screening. Registration ends at noon on Monday, Jan. 27.

Free Cardiovascular Screening*
(Insurance card from any provider and photo ID are required.)
What it is: Preventive testing for heart disease and stroke. It is a 10-15 minute non-invasive ultrasound screening of the carotid artery (neck) that helps detect the potential risks of heart disease and looks for levels of plaque buildup in the arteries.
Registration for this event is free for BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) members. If you are not a BCBS member and wish to participate, please bring your insurance card for verification of coverage.
Please print, complete and bring the cardiovascular screening registration questionnaire with you to the health fair.

Free ALCAT Food Intolerance/Sensitivity Test*
(Insurance card from any providerand photo ID are required.)
What it is: The ALCAT is a blood test that helps you determine the foods to which your body is negatively reacting. The test can uncover foods that you are eating that could be causing inflammation, allergic reactions, migraines, aches and pains, etc.
It will break down what types of food you should avoid and help you determine what nutritional steps you can take in order to become a healthier individual.
Registration for this event is free for BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) members. If you are not a BCBS member and wish to participate, please bring your insurance card for verification of coverage. You can also take the ALCAT survey prior to your appointment and bring it with you to the screening.

Blood drive and mammograms on Jan. 30
Save the date: Thursday, Jan. 30, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
HR is hosting a blood drive with Carter Blood Center in the Louella Baker Pavilion. Carter Blood welcomes walk-ins, but if you prefer to reserve a specific time, contact 817-531-7504 by noon on Monday, Jan. 27.
Mammogram screenings will also be available on campus Jan. 30 in the Louella Baker Pavilion. Limited space is available for mammograms so schedule today with Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth by calling 1-855-318-7696 (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
