Student email upgrade adds storage and cloud access

07.29.2014 | By: Texas Wesleyan University

Starting Aug. 1, the Information Technology Department will begin migrating student email to Office 365 cloud services.

In addition to email, students will now be able to create or edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations from any internet connected device without having to install software.

Office 365 gives students larger email storage, with mailbox sizes of 25GB per student, a 50GB OneDrive for cloud storage and access to Microsoft Office applications in the cloud. This gives students access to the latest cloud storage solutions and facilitates easier technology integration to improve the student learning experience.

The process should be complete by the start of the fall semester. Students will be notified by the helpdesk via email of the specific dates that their email will be migrated.
