Texas Wesleyan email is moving to the cloud
The Office of Information Technology is making campus-wide improvements to our email system. Faculty and staff will be upgraded to Office 365 in the summer 2016.
Office 365 is a Microsoft based email solution that delivers the capabilities of email as a cloud-based service. By utilizing this system, the Office of Information Technology will now be able to offer additional services such as 1 terabyte of storage in OneDrive, as well as the Office suite on a web-based platform. Faculty will now also be able to share documents and files within Office 365 with the students through OneDrive.
Office 365 Features:
- 50GB of email storage
- Advanced email archive
- Data loss prevention and encryption
- File storage and sharing with 1 TB storage per user
Our early adopters consist of a small group of the Texas Wesleyan Information Technology Department that will be migrating May 2016. The campus-wide migration will start in summer 2016.
