The Fort Worth Vaqueros' 2015 home opener doesn't just promise fireworks on the field — real fireworks will follow the match on Saturday, May 16 at Texas Wesleyan University's Martin Field.
All Texas Wesleyan students, faculty and staff with a valid ID get in for just $5.
All military members with a valid ID get in free and their family members get in for $5.
The fireworks highlight the festival atmosphere that will surround the special Armed Forces Day celebration as Fort Worth takes on Houston.
Jarritos, the popular Mexican soda with real fruit flavors, will present the 2015 Home Opener and Post Game Fireworks Show.
"Novamex is proud to be a part of the Vaqueros and bring the 'Refrescos De Mexico' as a sponsor," Novamex Regional Sales Manager Donald Craig, said. "We embrace the Vaqueros commitment to community, and those that have served our country, and have partnered with the Vaqueros because of that. On behalf of Refrescos De Mexico we hope that everyone enjoys the home opener and the fireworks."
Martin Field will feature the Vaqueros Village (Pre Game Festival), which will include a Kids Corral mini-fields, Kona Ice, the Food Truck Alley, face painting, a Beer Garden, Live Music, Interactive games, other activities and, of course, we'll offer delicious Jarritos beverages at the Vaqueros Snack Shack.
"Since our inception the Vaqueros vision was to bring the world's most popular game to the great city of Fort Worth at an affordable price so everyone has a chance to enjoy the beautiful game," Fort Worth Vaqueros owner Michael Hitchcock said. "The Vaqueros Village will provide entertainment options prior to the match.
"After the game, fans will enjoy a fireworks celebration thanks to Jarritos to honor both the Armed Forces and the start of our second season in Fort Worth; then fans can get autographs from Vaqueros players and join us for a post game party."
As a special home opener offer from Jarritos for our loyal Vaqueros fans, this weekend only, Fort Worth Vaqueros are offering $5 tickets to all fans by reserving their tickets through the Vaqueros' official Gear Shop
Vaqueros supporters group Panther City Hellfire will parade the game ball into Martin Field as the "Countdown to Vaqueros Kickoff Mitre Ball Tour" concludes after a month-long journey around Fort Worth.
"The vision of Texas Wesleyan leadership to allow Martin Field to include Vaqueros Village shows why they are being successful in the Rosedale Renaissance," Tobias Xavier Lopez, Vaqueros Director of Business Operations said. "We pride ourselves on being an organization that isn't afraid to try new approaches to the soccer business. Thankfully, Texas Wesleyan officials have similar open minds to big picture thinking and that's why the home opener will be such a multifaceted event."
