Making your MBA more affordable starts right here with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Fill out your FAFSA and see how much money you can get to help pay for graduate school.
Applying for financial aid is easy, in fact, you’ve probably done it before. Just in case you need a refresher, we’ll walk you through it in 3 simple steps.
Start by going to FAFSA.gov. Make sure you have these things handy:
If you don't have one, you'll also need to create an FSA ID – write it down, because you'll use it next year to renew your FAFSA. If your parents plan to provide their information, they'll need an FSA ID, too. It usually takes about 30 minutes to complete and it's worth every minute.
To get federal financial aid, you have to let us know if you’re getting tuition assistance from somewhere else. Are you getting help from your employer, external scholarships or veteran’s benefits?
Email the Office of Financial Aid at financialaid@txwes.edu to report any other assistance you’re receiving.
After you submit all of your paperwork, we’ll let you know how much financial aid you’ll get to help you pay for your online MBA. Most graduate students are only eligible for loans to pay for school. You can borrow up to $20,500 each year from guaranteed federal loans, but you can't borrow more than $138,500 in total, including your undergraduate student loan debt.
As soon as your FAFSA is processed, you'll get an email from the financial aid office letting you know how much aid you're getting and how to accept it through your Ramlink account.
