On Sunday, Aug. 14, the Residence Life team will kick off the Fall 2016 semester with its annual Opening Day festivities. The residence halls will open their doors at 9 a.m. and students will be able to move in to their new Texas Wesleyan home.

Student check-in

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., students will check in at the below locations on campus. Volunteers from the Texas Wesleyan community will be on hand to assist students and parents with the move-in process. Faculty and staff are invited to attend and help greet families.

Check-in locations:

  • Stella Residents: First floor lobby of Stella Hall
  • West Village Residents: West Village Club House (Building 1)
  • OC/Elizabeth Residents: First floor lobby of Elizabeth Hall

Food and music

We hope students and their families will come hungry and ready to enjoy move-in day. There will be a DJ keeping us moving, and Residence Life will be grilling outside of Stella Hall with food and drinks from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

After 2 p.m., students can check-in at their residence hall's front desk and participate in hall activities hosted by their Resident Assistants.

Stay tuned for some fun night-time activities for students that evening, brought to you by Student Engagement.

If you have any questions about Opening Day or if you are a student that still needs to apply for housing, please contact the Residence Life team by phone at 817-413-5000 or by email at housing@txwes.edu.
