Health Services at Texas Wesleyan is located in the West Village.

Texas Wesleyan University maintains a nurse-directed Health Center to promote a positive and balanced lifestyle for every student.

Confidential assessments are provided at no additional cost. A minimal fee may be included with immunizations and some services.

Who is eligible and what is the cost?

Student services include free assessments and counseling, vaccinations and immunizations (minimal fees with some immunizations), minor first aid, over the counter medication, referrals, 24-hour emergency pager and help with insurance.

Student Insurance

While Texas Wesleyan does not provide student insurance plans, we have contracted with Academic Health Plans to offer students affordable annual and biannual health coverage rates with excellent customer service. Academic Health Plans is a local company owned by Wesleyan Alumni that has provided affordable student insurance at Wesleyan for over 10 years.


Vaccination Immunization Information

Texas Wesleyan University requires all students to comply with Texas Legislature rules for university immunization requirements. Please review all applicable requirements:

Commuting Students:

Effective Jan. 1, 2012: All new students under the age of 22 are required to submit evidence of immunization against Bacterial Meningitis.

Proof of immunization will be required before they are permitted to register for classes. Please review the Bacterial Meningitis student policy for additional information and for the appropriate office to submit immunization documents.

Residential Students:

All residential students must have an immunization form or shot record reflecting a current TB test, Bacterial Meningitis, as well as proof of their childhood immunizations.

Proof of immunizations must be submitted to the Residential Life 10 days prior to move in. Please send a copy of proof of immunizations via email attachment, fax or mail to:

The security gate is open to accommodate the Health Center Hours from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday.
