Health Services at Texas Wesleyan is located in the West Village.

Texas Wesleyan University maintains a nurse-directed Health Center to promote a positive and balanced lifestyle for every student.

Confidential assessments are provided at no additional cost. A minimal fee may be included with immunizations and some services.

Who is eligible and what is the cost?

Student services include free assessments and counseling, vaccinations and immunizations (minimal fees with some immunizations), minor first aid, over the counter medication, referrals, 24-hour emergency pager and help with insurance.

Student Insurance

All Texas Wesleyan students seeking to purchase coverage in the University’s student health plan. The website is now ready for you to enroll to have coverage for the policy year 2015- 16 (from Aug. 1, 2015-July 31, 2016). Below is a link that will allow you to enroll online. Upon completing the application and issuing your payment via debit or credit card, you will be able to print-off a confirmation page to show as proof-of- coverage. Please know that the confirmation page is intended for temporary use only. You will receive your official coverage card from the University nurse within 14 days after you’ve enrolled. Please follow these step by step instructions to complete your enrollment:

  • Next, click on the drop-down arrow located next to the phrase "Please start by selecting your school."
  • Find "Texas Wesleyan University" and click it.
  • Near the top of the page will be a link to enroll.
  • Complete the enrollment application form as indicated.
  • Print-off your confirmation of coverage page.

Vaccination Immunization Information

Texas Wesleyan University requires all students to comply with Texas Legislature rules for university immunization requirements. Please review all applicable requirements:

Commuting Students:

Effective Jan. 1, 2012: All new students under the age of 22 are required to submit evidence of immunization against Bacterial Meningitis.

Proof of immunization will be required before they are permitted to register for classes. Please review the Bacterial Meningitis student policy for additional information and for the appropriate office to submit immunization documents.

Residential Students:

Proof of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination (BMV) must be submitted to the Office of Admission 10 days prior to move in. Please send a copy of proof of immunizations via email attachment, fax or mail to:

Other Vaccines

Other than proof of the bacterial miningitis vaccine (BMV) or affidavit declining the vaccination, Texas Wesleyan University no longer reuires the submission of immunization records as a requirement for class registration or to move into the residence halls.
