You did it. You completed the FAFSA and you're getting some financial aid. Now, we want to answer your questions about the award letter and the different types of aid.

1. Aid you don't pay back—Scholarships & Grants

   These are great because you don't have to pay them back. Scholarships and grants usually have requirements, so make sure you know what they are. Common requirements often include maintaining a certain GPA and taking a certain amount of classes. We've got details for university scholarships and grants. 

2. Aid you earn as you go—Work Study

   This is an on-campus job that's another great form of financial aid, but don't forget to search for on-campus jobs and apply. You'll earn money throughout the semester and get real work experience.

3. Aid you pay back when you're done—Student Loans

   These can cover what's left to ensure you get a great education. If you accept them, you will need to pay them back. Make sure you understand the details – when to make payments and how much they'll be. You can accept or reject your loans in RamLink.
